• I’ve been working as an illustrator for the last 19 years. I illustrate picture books, chapter, middle grade and educational books and some children’s magazines as well.

  • Maybe, depending on the manuscript whether the writing and the illustrations mesh well together. Also, if you are currently already working on your script with a publisher and think we are a good fit, please feel free to reach out to me or my agent. See Contact

  • If you feel you have an interesting project that you would like to pitch to me, please feel free to reach out. I’m open to looking at the project but I can’t promise I will be able to work on it but you never know.

  • Yes, I can do interviews.
For students interviewing for school projects: I’ve gotten quite a few requests for this as it requires a lot of care and time, please understand that depending on my schedule, I may not be able to answer everything. But I’ve a set of answers prepared and collected from students before which I can share with you. Do reach out to me and I will do my best.

  • Besides, book illustrating, I’m also interested in book binding, writing my own stories, trying out zine making, and printmaking as well. I read a lot and also love collecting art and books, and I love photoraphy. See bio

  • This is short version of informing yourself more about the children’s book publishing world. The first thing you need to do is do your research on publishers and the books they publish. Have a look at the ages you want to target but also the kind of illustrations you want to make as well. Joining a children’s book organization like SCBWI could be helpful especially if you are new and need a little more guidance. They organize quite a few events throughout the year. It’s quite helpful to illustrators and writers. Theses events and get togethers will be another way to better inform yourself more or the do’s and don’t in children’s book publishing. Sometimes there are workshops as well where they view your portfolios. Make sure you have your portfolio, postcard to share with potential publishers, art directors, editors, agents at these meetings.
